Twelve high school students collaborate on writing, producing, and editing an original short film under the guidance of a professional filmmaker. Participants will get hands-on experience with professional equipment, use current techniques, and learn life and job skills through the inspiring and collaborative process of creating media art.
This six-week day program meets Mondays through Thursdays, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. When the film is complete, BMFI will show it on the big screen at the world premiere.

We are excited to offer an amazing full day of camp between Music Camp and Vacation Bible School (VBS) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the week of June 15-19, 2026 (Monday-Friday) You can sign up for Music Camp, Vacation Bible School, or both to make a full day. Both camps are for children in Pre-kindergarten (4 years old) thru rising 6th Grade.
Here is our daily schedule for our Summer Camps:
9 a.m. – 12 noon: Music Camp
Join Music Camp for a week of making music for fun and to the glory of God. Each day will include musical education, singing, instrumental music making and more. Campers will work daily towards a final musical presentation on Friday afternoon, to which family and friends are invited. This year’s musical is “Once Upon a Parable.” This musical features Jesus played by a number of different actors – one for each parable. The parables included are the wise man and the foolish man, the good Samaritan, the mustard seed, and the parable of the vineyard.

Rainforest Falls – Exploring The Nature of God
Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms. The children will rotate through the following:
- Sing & Play Tune Lagoon
- Rooted Bible Adventure
- Imagination Station
- Wild Games
- Sticky Scripture
- Treetop Treats
- Canopy Closing

Since 1976 Upper Darby Summer Stage has opened the magical world of musical theater to thousands of children and teenagers through a comprehensive program of classes, performing experiences and outstanding performances for the public. Summer Stage delights over 35,000 audience members each summer with six Children’s Theater shows and its broadway-quality Mainstage production. Over 750 participants from ages 10 to 28 take part in the various Summer Stage theater programs.

Join Uptown Studio where theatre inspires students, ages 4-18, become fearless, develop imagination, find their voice and make lifelong friendships. Industry Professionals lead and encourage students on and off the stage, and with a student/teacher ratio of 10 to 1 every student has our full attention. The final day of camp brings with it a show for family and friends on either the Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center Main Stage or the Black Box on the 2nd floor.
