Alexa Café: All-Girls Summer Tech Camps

This summer, encourage the awesome in your daughter. At Alexa Café, girls ages 10-15 discover a passion for technology in a unique environment that celebrates creativity, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship. Weeklong, collaborative courses are taught in small groups of just 8 girls per instructor—guaranteed—for the most personalized instruction. Girls learn engineering principles, code games, design websites, model 3D characters, snap photos, create films, print 3D objects, and much more.

BSD Academy is hosting various week-long courses over the summer break! Whether you are interested in making your own games, designing your own art and posters, editing your photos, or just trying to make a video and go viral, we will have a course for you! Emagination blends the latest in technology learning with cool non-tech activities that create a well-rounded summer camp experience for kids & teens ages 8 -17. Teens 13-17 learn to code using C# (see sharp) -- the most popular programming language for creating Microsoft Windows applications. At this two-week overnight or day STEM program, teens learn the basics of C# and build and bring home a Windows-based application. Campers use Microsoft's most popular dynamic lang uage to build Windows, XML Web Services and other client-server applications. With the pow er of C++, the ease of Visual Basic and many Java like features, C# is one of the mo st powerful programming languages today. LocoSummer | “Modern Robotics” and “Drone Science”
Ages 9-13
Created by an award-winning university professor, LocoSummer is a series of STEM summer camps designed to take curious kids for a deep dive into the world of modern technology through real-world coding, robotics, sensors, 3D design, physics and statistics.
Modern Robotics (Main Line and Philadelphia): Our signature summer camp is back to teach real-world coding and Robotics! Program the sound, motion and lights of the LocoXtreme robot with Python. Learn 3D design and printing techniques. Engage in action-packed coding challenges all week long!
Drone Science (Philadelphia): Uncover the secrets of modern-day magic of drones by learning the mechanical construction and electronics behind modern quadcopters. Students will learn the mechanics, construction, physics, sensors, and coding of drones.

Penn Charter Summer Camps offer more choices than ever, with more than 30 camps. Because summer should be an opportunity to try something new – or to dive into something we already love – Penn Charter has camps that explore science, creativity, Spanish imme rsion and sports broadcasting. New this year, sports broadcaster Joe DeCamara, host o n sports talk WIP 94.1, will run a camp to give kids and teens hands-on experience with play-by-play, hosting a ta lk show and conducting TV interviews. The newest in PC's series of science camps is Drone Camp, in which kids will use Syma XIIC drones to learn flight basics and then complete an obstacle course, high altitude, photo and safe-landing challenge. Musical Instrument Design and Creation Camp teaches how to build instruments with laser cutters and 3D printers to create ukuleles, djembe drums and flutes. Two Spanish camps will explore environmental issues and delve into the rich cultures of Latin America.
Westtown Science Institute - Rising grades 6-8 engage in week-long immersive STEM experiences in hardware and software development, team-building and developing innovative solutions to challenges. The convention features an incubator modeled format; where upon enrolling, subscribed students begin to develop ideas to pitch during the program. A start-up grant will be awarded to the team (or teams of students) who develop and execute the best pitch during the week long conference. Residential and Day Student options available. At the core of the Westtown Science Institute lies an inquiry-driven, immersive learning environment in the lab, on campus, and in the world, where students learn by working in collaborative teams to create innovative solutions that generate authentic products.
WSI Day Programs include Lightsaber Construction (NEW) , Lego Robotics, Minecraft Coding, Microprocessors & more. Day courses are available in one week intensive and two week, half-day and pairable options with other programs.
